It should be noted that some of the bigger municipalities don’t allow sparklers in the city on New Year’s Eve, so make sure you check your local laws. One of the worst nights to get in trouble or sent to jail is on New Year’s Eve, so don’t take any chances and make sure you know all the laws before you do something you may regret.
Food and Drink
Food is one of those things that many people consider an afterthought when they are planning a party, but it is actually one of the most important parts. One of my favourite choices for party food is to either make or order a really large submarine sandwich that can be cut into several smaller sandwiches. This is not only popular with most guests, but it’s also a really affordable choice. Most sandwich shops prepare for large orders on holidays and events, so shopping for the best price should be really easy.
Another popular food choice is ordering pizza. Most pizza parlours will have bulk pizza discounts to cater your New Year’s Eve party which will be both affordable and delicious. Lastly, you can encourage your guests to bring their own alcoholic beverages to help you save money. You should always make sure you have a case or two of cheap beer on hand so there’s always something to drink on hand, but it can get expensive to buy liquor for everyone and nearly impossible to please everyone’s personal preferences.
